"Come into His Gates with Thanksgiving" Psalm 100

Christian worship joyfully ascribes all praise and honor, glory and power to the triune God.  In worship the people of God acknowledge God present in the world and in their lives.  As they respond to God's claim and redemptive action in Jesus Christ, believers are transformed and renewed.  In worship the faithful offer themselves to God and are equipped for God's service in the world.

The Spirit of God quickens people to an awareness of God's grace and claim upon their lives.  The Spirit moves them to respond by naming and calling upon God, by remembering and proclaiming God's acts of self-revelation in word and deed, and by committing their lives to God's reign in the world.

(Presbyterian Book of Order, Directory of Worship part of chapter 1)

At McBee Presbyterian Church we understand that worship is not about us, but is about God.  We worship in spirit and truth and come into his gates with thanksgiving for the great things He has done!

  Rev. Mike Allen

Worship is not something that we initiate.  Rather, God calls us to worship as a means of His grace by which to shape and tune us to declare and display His glory in Christ for His pleasure and our good.

With our lives transformed by God's grace we worship Him everywhere we go: at home, at work, at school, at play, and at the markets.

And, as members of God's adopted family in Jesus Christ, by the power of the Holy Spirit, we come to church on Sunday's and other days, not to get something, but to give honor, praise and glory to the one and only eternal and infinite God.

The McBee Presbyterian Church Choir

under the direction of Mrs. Gaie McLeod

McBee Presbyterian Church is blessed  with a talented choir.  Each Sunday special music fills the sanctuary for the express purpose of praising and extolling God.

The congregation lifts its voice through the singing of hymns, offering words of thanksgiving and glory to God. During special seasons of the year, worship services are enhanced by the singing of the Children's Choir.

Martin Luther, the great Reformer, said "...next to the Word of God, the noble art of music is the greatest treasure in the world."
