McBee Presbyterian Church offers a variety of opportunities for adults to grow in their understanding of the Scriptures. The most important intention of studying the Word of God is that our lives will be transformed for the glory of God.
Sunday Morning Adult Sunday School starts at 9:45
Adult Class #1
Led by Pam Allen
This class is designed for young professionals in their twenties, thirties and forties, married or single. The subject matter centers on God’s grace in our lives and how we are to be the salt and light in the world. We study materials authored by John Piper, Jerry Bridges, Alistair Begg, Sinclair Ferguson, RC Sproul, Marva Dawn, Eugene Peterson, Paul E. Miller, Michael Horton to name a few. The class meets in the educational building.
Adult Class #2
Led by Jim Sisson
This class welcomes active adults of all ages and stages in life. This class enjoys studying the Bible in an atmosphere that is relaxed and encourages Christian growth. The material used is a set study that one can take home and read during the week and be ready for discussion on Sunday mornings. The class meets in the educational building.
Adult Class #3
This class is for senior women who have fellowship while they study the Scriptures. While encouraging each other in the faith, they are also known for caring for those who are outside of the church as well. The atmosphere is one of gentility and encouragement. The class meets in the “white wickerwork furniture” room located in the sanctuary building.
Presby Women
Led by Gaie McLeod (moderator)
This group of women of all ages and stages of life meet the third Sunday of each month at 6:00 in the homes of lady members. Presby Women support the many missions identified by the Presbytery of New Harmony and those identified in the local community.
The women take the summer off and will resume in September.
Men’s Bible Study
Led by Rev. Mike Allen
Men of the church meet every Sunday evening at 6:00 to study the Scriptures. The men are currently studying the Book of Revelation - the Apocolypse.
The goal of the Men’s Bible Study is to better understand the Scripture’s content and implication, and to encourage a Biblical relationship within their sphere of influence in the community. The men meet either in the Pastor’s office or in the educational building.
